PRESENT KETEK GROUP INC.
Ketek Group Inc. (Ketek) can be summarized as a team and the members of the team as the various divisions. Stand-alone the divisions have value, but their true strength is based on the joint contributions of all the members. Ketek has been carefully constructed, since 1979, to include complimentary team members with a consistent mission of ‘achievement for Clients’. The current line-up is as follows: Rentals, Water Resources, Transportation Services, Safety Services, Sustainability Consulting, Environmental Solutions, Manufacturing, and Maintenance.
The Directorship is proud of our group of Employees that genuinely care for our Clients, their fellow Employees, and Ketek. The corporate culture at Ketek is founded on fairness, flexibility, and the expectation of executing things the ‘right’ way. As the future becomes the present, Ketek will maintain a course of sound business principle whilst proving value to Clients and being a great place to work.
GENERAL MANAGER OF ENVIRONMENTAL SOLUTIONS
Anil Chhibber is an experienced and innovative leader with technical and business administration skills. He has over 35 years of experience of managing international projects. Under his leadership Westland Incinerators grew from manufacturing incinerators to Sustainability Consulting, expanding business offerings from waste management to environmental management and sustainable development.
MATHEW VRIENS (MATT)
Matt graduated from NAIT with an Engineering Design and Drafting degree and spent 6 years immersed in structural fabrication, design, and drafting. He actually started with Ketek prior to that in the wash bay and gained some oilfield experience by travelling to rig sites as a Service Representative helper. He also held various roles with the Water Resources Division (formerly Groundwater Control Systems).
With the company growing rapidly Bill Vriens (his father) convinced him to come and work for him. Matt’s focuses in Ketek are primarily on manufacturing, sales, and administration. His ‘next generation’ ideas and theories are valuable as we expand our service offering to Clients.
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Prior to joining Ketek, Bill was a partner of a large mechanical contractor, and acted as Purchasing Manager and General Manager. Rick Sr. offered Bill a position in the company, but would not or could not tell him what that would be.
Bill started with our group of companies more than 15 years ago and was instrumental in the success of the Water Resources Division (formerly Groundwater Control Systems). His experience in management and dedication to his job is unmatched and he remains excited about the present and future of the company.
Brad, the son of founder Rick Sr., has literally grown-up with Ketek spending countless hours playing, tinkering, and eventually working in the shop and yard. Urged on by Rick Sr., Brad achieved a B.Sc., specializing in Environmental Earth Sciences; this lead to a Professional Hydrogeologist designation.
After 6 years of consulting work, Brad joined Ketek’s team. Through the application of business principles learned from his father, Brad looks to continue the success of Ketek and is energized for the future.
RICK L. ABEL (RICK LEE)
VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS

With the passing of his father, Vern Abel (co-founder of Ketek), Rick Lee joined Ketek in the position of Operation Manager. He has held a prominent role in the company since 1996 and takes great pride in its success and growth.
