Background:

KETEK Industries Ltd. was formed in June 1979. It operated in conjunction with and complementary to Rose-Del's trucking Ltd. owned by a brother of the owners of KETEK.

The company developed rapidly in the first few years of operation and in January 1981 Mr. R.J. Abel started working full time, in charge of operations of the company.

In the spring of 1981 with the projected reduction of oilfield activity in Canada, the company decided to establish a subsidiary in Casper, Wyoming. The subsidiary, Ketek Industries Inc., operated for approximately one year before closing for economic reasons.

Mr. Vern Abel joined Ketek in June 1984 as sales manager, bringing a vast amount of experience in oilfield sales and service to the company.

Mr. Richard Lee Abel joined the firm in 1995 and took over his fathers chores. Rick Lee has held the position of operations manager since joining the firm.

KETEK Industries Ltd. has been able to maintain a stable operation over the past twenty years because of an extensive maintenance and service policy which has become the industry standard since it was introduced by KETEK in 1979.

With the forecast growth in oilfield exploration activity in western Canada, due to the increased demand for natural gas, we are confident that the next five to ten years for KETEK should be extremely rewarding.
