CSR and sustainability reporting

It is the way a company reports its activities and impacts relating to financial, environmental, and social issues. Corporate sustainability reporting has a long history going back to environmental reporting. The first environmental reports were published in the late 1980s by companies from the chemical industry which had serious image problems. The other group of early reporters was a group of engaged SME with very advanced environmental management systems. The European development in the 1990s was influenced by EMAS and the growing number of EMAS Statements. At the end of the century more than 5000 EMAS Statements were available to the public. At the end of the 1990s more and more companies started to enlarge their environmental reports to include social issues and sustainability reporting developed.

The most important drivers for the quality of sustainability reports are the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative, award schemes (from ACCA) or rankings.

Ethical supply chain management

Social Accountability management system: SA 8000

SA8000 is a global social accountability standard for decent working conditions. It was developed and overseen by Social Accountability International (SAI).  It contracts with a global accreditation agency, Social Accountability Accreditation Services (SAAS), that licenses and oversees auditing organizations to award certification to employers that comply with SA8000. Dominic A. Tarantino, Chairman of Price Waterhouse World Firm described SA8000 in 1998 as "the first ever universal standard for ethical sourcing... It provides a common framework for ethical sourcing for companies of any size and any type, anywhere in the world. SA8000 sets out provisions for issues such as trade union rights, the use of child labor, working hours, health and safety at work, and fair pay."

As the world economy is becoming globalized, more and more buyers are going to the developing and under-developing countries for sourcing products at lower cost. Environment Management Systems (EMS): Design and implementation as per ISO 14001

International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 14001 is an internationally accepted specification for an EMS. An ISO 14001 EMS is intended to develop a systematic management approach to the environmental concerns of an organization, and through a series of internal audits, to effect continual improvement in environmental management. ISO 9000 is a family of standards for QMS. ISO 9000 is maintained by ISO and is administered by accreditation and certification bodies. REACH/WEEE/RoHS compliance monitoring

REACH is the Regulation on Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals. The Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive bans placement into the European Union (EU) market of new electrical and electronic equipment containing more than designated maximum allowable levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB), and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants. RoHS works in conjunction with the EU Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive. The purpose of the occupational health and safety (OH&S) audit is to review the OH&S management practices of a facility for soundness and compliance with the intent and requirements of applicable legislation, policy, and directives. Environment audits

We provide an initial environmental review and auditing service to enterprises who wish to have their environmental management and monitoring programs critically evaluated for applicability, completeness, and credibility. We undertake environmental auditing assignments as part of a team to complement technical and safety auditors, or solely in the case of environmental reviews of projects. The aim of the environmental audit is to provide management with information that they can use to assesses compliance with regulatory authorities, company policies, and standards and improve their performance continually.

Job safety audits

We help companies improve safety by doing a proper job safety analysis.
